ABOUT THE MURAL PAINTING PROJECT:
The 15th Floor Mural Painting Project is a collaboration between The Drawing Workshop at Harnwell led by Faculty Fellow Ivanco Talevski and the 15th-floor GRA at Harnwell, Yara Damaj. This painting project aims to provide an opportunity for Harnwell residents to engage in painting and work collaboratively to visualize the diverse and outstanding artistic legacy of the city of Philadelphia. This mural painting is dedicated to artists/painters who have lived or worked extensively in the city of Philadelphia. The mural is a collage of elements that highlight their work.  Included are both, historical and contemporary painters. This is a great opportunity to learn about the rich artistic heritage of our city. The list includes the following artists: Howardena Pindell, Barkley L. Hendricks, Thomas Eakins, Dox Thrash, Horace Pippin, Thomas Chimes, Wharton Esherick, Eileen Neff, and Sarah McEneaney.

THE DRAWING WORKSHOP AT HARNWELL
The goal of The Drawing Workshop at Harnwell is to provide Harnwell residents an opportunity to engage in drawing-based projects that expand their understanding of visual representation and visual thinking frameworks, and their love and curiosity about what drawing can be or can do.  The workshops are led by Harnwell Faculty Fellow, Ivanco Talevski, who teaches drawing, painting, and printmaking courses at the Fine Arts and Design Program at the Weitzman School of Design at UPENN.
