On Sunday, February 11, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Harnwell College House will take residents to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, which will host a Family Festival to celebrate the Lunar New Year and welcome the Year of the Dragon.

If you need transpo to the PMA, meet in the Harnwell lobby at 12:20 pm! Return to campus at 3:30pm.

The event will feature a range of activities and displays, including a Zhejiang Province Artist Takeover in the Great Stair Hall, where special artisans will showcase vibrant crafts such as tea-whisking, sugar painting, spring couplet writing, and Taishun puppets. Additionally, there will be displays of Taizhou Embroidery, Longquan Celadon, and Rice Sculpture Art. Chinese Woodblock Printing will be demonstrated on the Great Stair Hall Balcony, allowing attendees to learn about this traditional folk art form. A Pop-Up Gallery Activity in Rome Gallery 333 will provide an opportunity to learn about the origins of the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac. Finally, at the West Entrance, attendees can receive good luck red packets containing messages for the New Year. This event promises to offer an immersive and educational experience for all participants, providing insights into the rich cultural heritage of the Lunar New Year
