Drug Overdose Reversal Training: How to Save a Life

What:

Harnwell's Bioscience Program Community is partnering with Penn's Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT), Center for Addiction Medicine and Policy (CAMP), and the community activist group SOL Collective to provide hands-on training in opioid overdose reversal through the use of the harm reduction medication Naloxone. We will have mannequins and you all will have the opportunity to walk through simulations so you can be prepared to save a life. We will also be talking about the social context of the opioid and overdose epidemics and addressing stigma. This is an incredibly important event because of the medically-relevant skills you will gain and the humongous impact that the opioid epidemic has had on this nation and particularly Philadelphia. Food will be provided to the first 30 to RSVP.

When:

Thursday March 17th, 2022 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM

Where:

Rooftop Lounge
