Come volunteer for an evening at Chosen 300(link is external), a feeding program in West Philadelphia. this is our second of three visits with them. Chosen 300 serves fresh hot meals to people experiencing food insecurity in University City. Harnwellians will help serve the prepared meals. Meals are served with in-person dining for vaccinated individuals and are provided in to-go containers for those who are not vaccinated.

We will meet in the Harnwell lobby at 5PM and walk to Chosen 300 together. Along the way, you can take note of the changes that are taking place along Lancaster Avenue(link is external). Volunteer jobs include-set up, food service and plate prep, welcoming guests and line management, plate and to-go box distribution, clean up. There is no food preparation/cooking required. After cleaning up, we will return to Harnwell by 8PM. 

Chosen 300 is a service mission run by a Christian group. Individuals of all faiths are welcome to volunteer as well as to receive food support. The philosophy is that helping those in need is not limited to one religion or faith group. All volunteers are welcome to serve. Chosen 300 runs food programs in Center City, West Philadelphia, and Pottstown.

Harnwell will volunteer at Chosen 300 on two more dates (please sign up for each separately).
