The Guatemala Health Inisitaitve is a group which collaborates to promote health in the rural highlands of Guatemala. Join us as we work to research and develop sustainable partnerships with the Hospitalito Atitlan and the communities around and near Lake Atitlan in Guatemala.

This week we will also be planning our Spring Break volunteer trip. The trip runs 1-10 March 2024. We will be volunteering with the Hospitalito Atitlan, learning about Mayan culture, helping with a local school, and taking some time off from school. Spaces are still available.

This year we have two focuses. We will be supporting adn evaluating the opening of a new commujnity based indigenous Maya nursing school as well as supporting teh development of a program to reduce maternal and neonatal mortality.
