The Eastern European Film Series at Harnwell

We are thrilled to announce and invite you to a brand-new Eastern European film series sponsored in collaboration between the Russian and East European Studies Department and the Harnwell College House! The film series will be showing both classic and new Eastern European cinema on Thursday evenings from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. throughout the fall semester at the RTL in Harnwell College House. Our hope is that through this series students will be introduced to under-represented Eastern European art, culture, and history.
There will be a short introduction and post-film discussion led by Comparative Literature Ph.D. student Ash Maria (he/they) at each screening.

October 26th - The Temptation of St. Tony (2009) by Veiko Õunpuu (Estonia)
November 16th - You Won’t Be Alone (2022) by Goran Stolevski (Macedonia)
December 7th – Tangerines (2013) by Zaza Urushadze (Estonia & Georgia)
