ABOUT THE MURAL PAINTING PROJECT:  

The 15th Floor Mural Painting Project is a collaboration between The Drawing Workshop at Harnwell led by Faculty Fellow Ivanco Talevski and the 15th-floor GRA at Harnwell, Yara Damaj. This painting project aims to provide an opportunity for Harnwell residents to engage in painting and work collaboratively to visualize the diverse and outstanding artistic legacy of the city of Philadelphia. This mural painting is dedicated to artists/painters who have lived or worked extensively in the city of Philadelphia. The mural is a collage of elements that highlight their work.  Included are both historical and contemporary painters. This is a great opportunity to learn about the rich artistic heritage of our city. The list includes the following artists: Howardena Pindell, Barkley L. Hendricks, Thomas Eakins, Dox Thrash, Horace Pippin, Thomas Chimes, Wharton Esherick, Eileen Neff, and Sarah McEneaney.
