It is with great pleasure to invite you all to participate in painting sessions as part of the Mural Painting Project on the 15th Floor run by The Drawing Workshop at Harnwell led by Harnwell Faculty Fellow, Ivanco Talevski and 15th-floor GRA at Harnwell, Yara Damaj. This project began in the Spring semester of 2023 and we are hoping to finish it this term and have an unveiling ceremony at the end of the semester.

This will be a semester-long collaborative painting project and is open to all residents and staff at Harnwell. Up to two participants can sign up for a session and work together. Materials will be provided. This is a wonderful opportunity for those of you who enjoy working in painting or would like to learn more about painting. ABOUT THE MURAL PAINTING PROJECT:

The 15th Floor Mural Painting Project is a collaboration between The Drawing Workshop at Harnwell led by Faculty Fellow Ivanco Talevski and the 15th-floor GRA at Harnwell, Yara Damaj. This painting project aims to provide an opportunity for Harnwell residents to engage in painting and work collaboratively to visualize the diverse and outstanding artistic legacy of the city of Philadelphia. This mural painting is dedicated to artists/painters who have lived or worked extensively in the city of Philadelphia. The mural is a collage of elements that highlight their work. Included are both, historical and contemporary painters. This is a great opportunity to learn about the rich artistic heritage of our city. The list includes the following artists: Howardena Pindell, Barkley L. Hendricks, Thomas Eakins, Dox Thrash, Horace Pippin, Thomas Chimes, Wharton Esherick, Eileen Neff, and Sarah McEneaney.
