The Drawing Workshop at Harnwell with Ivanco Talevski

What:

It is with great pleasure to invite you all to the first session of this semester's Drawing Workshop at Harnwell.

Participants in this session will create MONOPRINTS and will be introduced to the history of printmaking. Monoprints are made by using ink and employing drawing, painting or collaging strategies onto a smooth non-absorbent surface and then ran through an etching press and printed on paper. Each participant will develop at least two works that will be featured in the Drawing Workshop public exhibition on December 8th at the Dungeon.

Sunday, September 15th, 7:00-9: 30 PM / Location: Meet in Harnwell lobby/ The Printshop at the Morgan building Monoprint Workshop at the Printmaking studio of the Design and Fine Arts Program.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The goal of the Drawing Workshop at Harnwell is to provide residents an opportunity to engage in drawing-based projects and expand their understanding of visual representation and visual thinking frameworks. Participants will develop a wide range of projects in various mediums and explore drawing as a way of thinking. The workshops will be led by Faculty Fellow at Harnwell, Mr. Ivanco Talevski, who teaches drawing and painting courses at the Design and Fine Arts Program at the Weitzman School of Design.  Participants will meet at various locations, in and outside of Harnwell to make the work. Materials will be provided. At the end of the semester, the workshop will culminate in a public exhibition of selected works made during this semester's drawing sessions. Please observe the schedule for the programing for this semester. Additional information will be provided before each of the sessions. If interested, please contact Ivanco Talevski at ivancot@upenn.edu
